Fire Ordinance & Fire Bans

FIRE ORDINANCE

Outdoor fires are popular when the temperatures warm up and city residents like to have the benefit of recreational fires.  The City of Two Rivers does allow small recreational fires, commonly known as a campfire, in a fire pit in your backyard. For more information on recreational fires please view our fire ordinance.  If there are complaints about smoke being a nuisance from residents in the area, law enforcement officers and fire department personnel could investigate the incident and inform the property owner to extinguish the campfire. 

FIRE BANS

As the climate gets drier with increased heat and drought, the risk of wildfires increases.  The City of Two Rivers Fire Department follows the State of Wisconsin fire bans.  To discover more about the bans in place, please observe the fire ban information here.  Please check this site often when the weather gets drier.
