Picnic Hill Park - Disc Golf Course

picnic hill

Picnic Hill is a passive use park. A passive use park is designed primarily for low-impact recreational activities and relaxation rather than active sports or organized events. The focus is on enjoying the environment. Picnic Hill is heavily wooded, it features nice areas for walking and hiking and has a 15 hole disc golf course. It is located next to Walsh Field and the new Sandy Bay Highlands subdivision on the city's east side.

Disc Golf History:

Disc golf has a natural asset in Two Rivers up on Picnic Hill.  This wooded area is the highest ground in the community and boasts the largest variety of flora and fauna in Wisconsin.  You will also find an ancient Native American garden along the way.  You will feel like you stepped out of the 21st century and into a timeless canopy of flowers and wildlife.  The cinder road through the park has been closed off for several years and is now green with life.  The course does wrap around a bit, so check the course maps in the park to reference where you are heading from hole to hole.  Hole distances are not long but the mature trees on the fairways will force you to shape your shot selection.

What's New at the disc golf course:

Exciting progress is currently underway at the disc golf course in Picnic Hill Park, Two Rivers! Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our volunteers and the Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department, we've cleared fairways, installed new tee boxes, and added baskets. But that’s just the beginning! Look forward to even more enhancements, including informative hole signs, a welcoming entrance sign, and additional upgrades. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and commitment to improving our community space!
